Reflections

See Below.

Reflections on Breathing

A key part of this work is our breath.

Our breath will support us on and off the Block, and this work in return will improve our breath.

We release holding patterns and create more space, strengthen our muscles that support diaphragmatic movement, and make supportive breathing habitual.

Below is simply for you to reflect upon in the days leading up to your session.

How is my relationship to my breath?

  • Do I feel supported and nourished by my breath?

  • Are there specific times in my daily life that my breathing gets compromised?

What is my understanding of diaphragmatic breath?

  • When is it helpful to use?

  • How to access it?

What is my experience with diaphragmatic breathing?

  • How does it feel in my body?

  • Does it feel supportive?  Does it cause discomfort or strain?

  • Does the experience change over time?

  • How frequently do I access it?

  • How easily do I access it?
